Thank you to everyone who made today's sponsored walk for Scoil Carmel's new sensory room a huge success! It was so wonderful to see so many families coming out to support and enjoy the walk. It really became a celebration of community spirit and teamwork. To date the combined efforts of our wonderful Parents Association and Sensory Room committee, with Ciara Forrester and Sheela Tynan at the helm, have helped to raise €4,100!
We would like to thank Thomas O'Brien who gave free tea and coffee to those who particpated in the walk, to SuperValu and Lidl for donating and funding the treats for the children at the end of the walk and to the Speaker Connolly who allowed us to use their indoor space to help prepare for the big day.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who donated so generously online. We would also like to thank AM Transport for funding the purchase of beanbags for the sensory room, to the Firhouse Credit Union for their donation, as well as to all the people who donated eggs chairs, gym balls and tunnels which have been invaluable in allowing us to make a start on resourcing our sensory room.
Take a look at the short video for a flavour of the fun and community spirit that was all around Firhouse today!
