Happy Retirement Michael!

We said a fond farewell to our wonderful singing caretaker Michael today! He will be greatly missed by the staff and pupils of the school for his friendliness, kindness, whistling, joking and singing - especially at the school gate in the morning and around the school corridors as he went about his job during the day. The staff wanted to mark his retirement with a small socially distanced gathering and presentation in the yard today. While the children really wanted to let Michael know how much they love and miss him by making this video for him to see. Thank you Michael for everything you did in the school and we hope to see you back in Scoil Carmel for a proper visit as soon as the Covid restrictions lift. We wish you a very long and happy retirement!
