The pupils bid farewell to Ms Martin!
Last Friday all the classes lined outside in the school yards to bid farewell to our principal Ms Martin. They waved flags and wished her a happy retirement in song.
Ms Martin retires on August 30th. She has been principal of Scoil Carmel for sixteen years. I have worked alongside Ms Martin when she was a class teacher, a language support teacher and a principal. She has made a huge contribution to the school in her various roles. She has shown exemplary leadership. Her dedication and commitment are second to none. I want to wish her good health and happiness in her retirement. Go n-éirí an bóthar léi.
It is a great privilege for me to be taking over as principal of Scoil Carmel. Scoil Carmel is a fabulous school with great pupils, parents and staff. I am looking forward to leading Scoil Carmel in the years ahead. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
