What Do We Need?

The PA committee consists of Chairperson. Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Committee Officers and these will be elected in Oct in the AGM. To ensure the viability of the Parents Association it is imperative that we get new committee members each September. We need about 10 members to sit on the committee (currently there are 5) and these members need to be able to attend meetings where possible and help run and coordinate events. As you can see from above what the Parents Association provides to the school is an invaluable resource both financially and socially as the kids especially love the Santa Claus visit and cake sale!

What Is The Time Commitment?

Committee meetings last approx. 30 mins and occur after the school drop off every 6/8 weeks depending on what events are upcoming. September to December is the busiest time due to the number of events organised. In addition to the meetings, committee members collect pupil insurance forms, work with Santa Claus, book fair company, recycling company and Christmas card printer etc. There are also newsletters created once a term and updates to Facebook informing parents of events and finance management activities undertaken by treasurer. It’s also a great way to meet people and get more involved with the school.

How To Get In Touch

In addition to the committee we also have a WhatsApp group of parents who volunteer on an ad hoc basis to help at events where their time allows. If you are interested in getting involved, a message can be sent to the PA via our Facebook page or alternatively you can leave your name and number in the PA postbox inside the front door of the school.
